Mission:
The IMPACT (Investigating Mechanisms for the Prevention of Alcohol Consequences over Time) Lab in the Department of Psychology at Syracuse University aims to understand sources of resiliency and vulnerability to alcohol-promoting environments, with the goal to reduce the harms of problem drinking. Many of our current projects work to identify in-the-moment reasons for drinking, particularly in response to stress and/or trauma.
